Having joined the Vineyard Bern in September 2008 God gave us a vision to build an English speaking community within this German speaking church. God placed three major themes on our hearts:

• Worship at the centre,

• building a Christian community with House Groups as a base and

• reaching the many thousand English speakers in the Bern area.

With the blessing of the Vineyard leadership we began with a House group which rapidly grew, necessitating starting a second with the clear view of planting more house groups.

At present we gather together once a month as a community on a Sunday for Brunch, at the Vineyard Bistro, 4th Floor, Kornhaus Kornhausplatz 18, 3011 Bern, with worship, input and fellowship as a corporate expression of what God is doing in our midst.

Vineyard services in German take place at 13.00, 17.00 and 19.30 every Sunday (in the church of the „Evangelisches Gemeinschaftswerk“, Nägeligasse 9, Berne city center). There is simultaneous translation into English only at the 17.00 service.

The English Speaking Group is very international, 12 nationalities at the last count and all are welcome who need to express and live out their faith in English. We are looking forward to meeting you!
